Imports of Cars Falls by Half
In the three months of this year Azerbaijan delivered 10,035 vehicles, which is 55.5% less than in the same period in 2014.
Within the period were purchased from abroad 9,256 cars, which is 11,049 units less than in the same period last year.
In connection with the organization of the first European Games, etc. since the beginning of the year there have been purchased 203 buses, which will mainly serve the guests of Baku.
This year, about four times decreased the import of trucks (500 units) and special purpose vehicles (76).
Note that this year Azerbaijan increased excise duties on imports of motor vehicles, which led to higher costs of importers. ---08D

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met today with Ahmed Moallim Figi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somalia, at the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry. This meeting followed a discussion held the previous day between Figi and Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister Mikail Jabbarov.
