Imports of motor vehicles decreased by 9.2 %
Baku/18.02.14/Turan : In January this year , Azerbaijan imported 6,477 units of vehicles , which is 9.2 % less than in the same month last year. Experts predicted a decrease in the activity of import of cars in connection with the preparation process for the transition to ecological standards Euro- 4 , tightening auto loans , as well as an increase in retail prices of motor fuel .
According to the State Customs Committee , in January, was brought into the country 5,925 cars that 572 units or 8.9 % less than in the same month last year.
Also last month, was brought into the country 15 buses ( - 79 ), 512 trucks ( 60 ) and 25 special purpose vehicles ( - 61) .
Last year, Azerbaijan imported 104.4 thousand cars.
According to the State Statistics Committee , in January this year the Nakhchivan automobile plant , the only producer of cars in Azerbaijan, released from the conveyor 39 cars. In the warehouses of the plant there were 196 cars Lifan by February 1. The Ganja automobile plant collected 111 tractors Belarus. -08D-
