In January 2013 the Ministry of Taxes of Azerbaijan had 8 540 taxpayers. Given departing businesses and individuals, the real growth in ordinary taxpayers was 7,470.
According to the Ministry of Taxes, on the first of February of this year the total number of those passing state registration was 489,180 taxpayers.
Since January 2008, registration of commercial entities by the Ministry of Taxes has been on a "one stop shop" simplified system. Since July 2011, the registration of individuals and since 2012 the registration of legal persons shall be in electronic format. - 08D-
