Created the Public Committee for the Protection of Rights of Mahir Abdullayev
The arrest of Gular Ahmedova could be a major step in the investigation of the "bargaining deputy's mandate." However, there is no progress in the investigation of the abduction MNS officer Mahir Abdullayev. This was stated by a source close to the Abdullayev family.
The father of two children M. Abdullaev suddenly disappeared on October 13, 2003. The family found out that he was kidnapped. For the past 10 years, his family, including the brother, former Rector of the International University Elshad Abdullayev, sent numerous appeals to various state agencies. Although a criminal case was filed, there have not been any results.
In October 2012 at the direction of President an independent commission was created for inquiry with the Attorney General, but so far there have been no results.
In the abduction of M. Abdullayev appear the names of former and current high-ranking officials within the government and law enforcement.
To put an end to the uncertainty in the near future a public committee for M. Abdullayev’s rights has been established. The purpose of the committee is an objective investigation, clarifying the fate of Abdullayev, and his release. Within the Committee it is planned to create an investigation team.
However, the same source did not say who will be part of the Committee created. -03B06-
