In March, banks actively expanded
BAKU/08.04.14/TURAN : In March of this year, the Azerbaijani banks actively expanded network of regional and central offices.
According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan in the reporting month, four banks opened 6 branches and 6 sub-branches.
So Bank Technique received permission to open six metropolitan offices. After the transfer of the bank in 2012 under the control of new shareholders hastily dumped from the legacy of the past, including the closing of a number of regional office .
One of the regional banks, Nakhchivan Bank, opened three branches at once, one each in the towns of Nakhchivan , Julfa and Sherur . Previously, the bank only had a branch in Baku. The bank is owned by the family and associates of the head of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic .
Unibank opened a branch in Salyan. Muganbank has been granted permission to open one branch each in Barda and Salyan.
The total number of bank branches and offices reached 866, of which 444 have opened in Baku. -15B -
