Industrial Production Fell by 8.8% in September
. In January-September of this year the volume of industrial production in Azerbaijan amounted to 23 billion manat, which is 0.2% more than in the same period last year, the State Statistics Committee said.
According to official data, industrial production grew by 3.6% in the non-oil sector and in the oil sector a 0.2% decline was noted. The share of industrial output accounted for 87.2% of the entire industrial production. The remaining 12.8% was industrial services. The share of private sector in industrial production amounted to 80.6% for the first nine months.
In the structure of industrial production the mining industry provided for 65.7%, and processing provided for 28.2%.
According to SSC, in September compared with August industrial production fell by 8.8%. The decline has been observed since June. ----08D
