Iraq ready to sign new agreement on Iranian gas import
Iraq plans to complete work on a new contract on Iranian gas import, Press TV channel quoted Iraqi Vice Premier for Energy Hussein al-Shahristani as saying on Friday.
“We have already signed contracts with Iran to import gas for our power stations located in the central part of the country. We are going to sign another contract to import Iranian gas to the south,” Shahristani said.
In July 2013 the governments of Iran and Iraq concluded contract to deliver Iranian gas to the Iraqi power stations Baghdad, Sadr and Al-Mansoora.
Iran occupies the second place in the world after Russia on the natural gas resources.—0—
