Largest Holding Companies Regroup
In March in Azerbaijan were registered 6 companies, which are included in the group of Gilan Holding. Judging by their names, the holding regrouped its many companies in that branch.
According to the Ministry of Taxes, they formed six companies that will combine agricultural enterprises (LLC Gilan Agricultural Group), enterprises producing construction materials (LLC Gilan Construction Materials Group), consumer goods (LLC Gilan FMCG Group , tourism, hotel and catering services (LLC Gilan Hospitality Group), transport and logistics (LLC Gilan Logistics Group) and retail sales (LLC Gilan Retail Group). Four groups will be led by Huseyn Abdinzadeh, managing several structures of the holding (First Beverage, Caspian Real Estate Group, Qaya Real Estate, Ilandag Services) before.
Founded in the early 90-ies of the last century, Gilan Holding, according to official documents, is owned by two sons of the Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov. According to some estimates, the total number of commercial structures of the holding reaches 300 companies and enterprises. Around one bend of them were established in the last 12 months. Some companies operate outside the country.
On the corporate website of the holding (www.gilanholding.com), there are no financial reports for previous years, although, according to the law, it shall publish them in the media. --08B

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met today with Ahmed Moallim Figi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somalia, at the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry. This meeting followed a discussion held the previous day between Figi and Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister Mikail Jabbarov.
