PFPA activist remained in custody
Baku Court of Appeal (BCA) today rejected the complaint of the activist of Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA) Yusifli Asif, who is accused of fraud and forgery.
The complaint was filed in the Narimanov District Court on March 18, to extend the term of arrest for two months.
Yusifli was arrested on November 26, 2014 on the basis of the complaint of the citizen Farida Zulfugarova on the alleged embezzlement. However, the defense believes that Yusifli himself became a victim of fraud by third parties. Moreover, during the investigation it is fully repaid the damage caused.
The PPFA believes that the prosecution of Yusifli was initiated due to his political activities. Yusifli is disabled of the Karabakh war. -06D-
