Million Azerbaijani citizens enjoy Facebook
Number of Facebook users in Azerbaijan stepped over a million.
International research and monitoring (http://www.socialbakers.com/facebook-statistics/page-2) show that only 5 to 6 February, the number of local users grew by 20 thousand to $ 1 million 14 thousand 120 people. For comparison, it should be noted that during the year the growth was only 150 thousand. The reason for the addition is a significant revitalization of civil society amid revelations officials and protest against the deaths of soldiers in peacetime.
According to the portal, the network is popular with 12.21% of the population, with 24% of the local users of social networks. For comparison - in Armenia the ratio is 13.35 to 29.13%, in Georgia - 20.96 to 82.90%, in Russia - 5.39 to 12.34%.
Azerbaijan is in the list of 213 countries in the 82nd position, but the method based on the absolute numbers is not correct. Thus, in India (the third place) with about 1.2 billion people in this network uses 61.57 million (5.25% of total), and in China in general 0.04% (597 000 persons) uses Facebook. - 17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
