Ministry of Agriculture Purchases Equipment for Cleaning Seeds
Baku / 15.09.17 / Turan: The Ministry of Agriculture purchased seed cleaning equipment in the framework of the World Bank project "Strengthening the Competitiveness of Agriculture". The equipment has been provided to the Research Institute of Agriculture, which will create six points for seed cleaning in the regions of the country.
As Turan was told in the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture, the capacity of a point of the kind allows cleaning, sorting, weighing, spraying and packing two tons of seeds per hour. This equipment will improve the quality of work of the Research Institute of Agriculture, engaged in the creation of new varieties of grain and leguminous plants. At today’s session of the Milli Majlis, Azerbaijan’s parliamentarians discussed and approved in the first reading a draft law increasing the minimum subsistence level for 2025. The updated figures reflect a modest rise of 10 manats, setting the nationwide living wage at 285 manats.
