MOE Combines Two Structures
President Ilham Aliyev signed on November 7, the decree "On measures to improve governance in the field of disaster management."
The essence of the document is to bring together two structures of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
On the basis of the State Inspectorate for Small Volume Vessels and the State Water Rescue Service the State Service for Control over Small Vessels and Water Rescue has been established. The charter of the new service will be passed within two months.
Thus, the association is aimed at reducing the cost of managing these two entities of MOE.
In addition, the President instructed MOE to submit proposals for optimization of its activities.
In total, the structure of MOE created in 2006 consists of more than 20 units, as well as regional centers of the Ministry. Information on the number of employees of Ministry of Emergency Situations is confidential. --------------08D
