More Than a Third of All Investments in Azerbaijan Invested in Industry
As of August 1, Azerbaijan's industry invested a total of 2 billion 728.8 mln.
According to State Statistics Committee, the share of investments in the development of the industry was more than a third (38.3%) of all investments. Total invested was 7.12 billion manat.
Injections in the mining industry are the first place - 1 billion 975.2 million manat (+ 27.1% compared to January-July 2011).
Funding for the processing industry increased by 294.6 million manat (- 41.4%).
In the production and distribution of electricity and gas the state invested 197.7 million manat (- 28.7%), water, and the purification and recycling of household waste - 261.3 million manat (up 3.3 times).
In the transport and storage before August 1 it was invested 1 billion 193.8 million manat (- 1.1%), communications and ICT - 198.2 million manat (+ 83%), in public administration, defense and compulsory Social Care - 623.8 million manat (up 2.1 times) in education - 277.5 million manat (increased 2.6 times).
In addition, by 35.6% in comparison to last year increased demand for finance from representatives of housing. In January-July, their needs invested 671.8 million manat.
Share of foreign investments, including private companies and international financial institutions, the economy of Azerbaijan for the period was 1 billion 513 million 840.4 thousand manats (+ 5.4% compared to last year).
The leaders among them are companies from the United Kingdom (724 million 341 thousand manat). They accounted for almost half (47.8%) of the financial investments. American finance is in the second place - AZN 256 million 31.3 thsd, or one-third (32.3%) more than last year.
Besides leaders from January 1 to August 1, the local economy was invested by companies from Japan - 170 million manat, Norway - 94 million 315.7 thousand manat, Turkey - 74 million 483.6 thousand manat, Czech Republic - 50 million 294 thousand manat. It is worth noting capital of companies from France - 29 million 485.3 thousand manat, Saudi Arabia - 3 million 27.4 thsd manat, South Korea - 3 million 720.3 thousand manat and Germany - 1 million 752 7 thousand manat.
Among international organizations, the World Bank is leading with 63 million 875.7 thousand manat. This is followed by the Asian Development Bank - 40 million 296.9 thousand manat, the Islamic Development Bank - 1 million 41.4 thsd AZN and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development - 71.9 thousand manat. - 17D-
