Ali Kerimli: Allegations of poisoning Elchibey is delirium
Allegations of poisoning Abulfaz Elchibey are not serious, and the investigation of this nonsense by the Prosecutor Office is simply absurd, Turan was told by Ali Kerimli, the leader of the Popular Front Party, commenting on the investigation of the poisoning Elchibey by the Prosecutor Office on the basis of the appeal of the leader of the "Modern Musavat" party, Hafiz Hajiyev.
"This man (Hajiyev) has for many months has been spreading nonsense in the Internet and media," Kerimli said, commenting on the allegations of Hajiyev that Elchibey was poisoned by Kerimli.
"This is a vile lie. We worked together for many years with Elchibey, I was his first deputy, and later I became his successor as chairman of the party," said Kerimli.
Elchibey was examined in a well-known international medical institutions and was treated in a Turkish military hospital in Gulhane, everyone knew that he was suffering from cancer, and died from it.
"Heydar Aliyev also said that he was aware of the disease of Elchibey, and he was ready to help. That is, the whole process of illness and treatment was transparent," said Kerimli. Therefore, the actions of the Prosecutor Office are not serious. "In authoritarian regimes officials want to curry favor with the ruler, and the leadership of the Prosecutor Office has gone this way. However, it is not permissible for the body, standing guard over the rule of law," Kerimli said.He believes that this provocation is against the opposition and against him personally, due to upcoming presidential election in 2013. In his view, the authorities want to discredit the opposition and distract it from the political fight.—06B-
