NDC has defined a strategic plan for the years 2013-2015
General meeting of shareholders of "The National Depository Center" (NDC) has approved a strategic development plan for the 20113-2015 year, which lays out the strategic vision and mission of the central depository for the medium term.
The development of the NDC will lead him to the centralized organization of a two-step post-trading level provided for the position "On National Depository System" and the State program of development of the securities market in 2011-2020.
The state program provides for the improvement of depository and accounting system, including the Central Bank and the mechanism of registration of rights over them. As a result of these measures will change the structure of depository and accounting system, a unified system of all depository simulated in the country of investment securities, simplified procedure for registration of rights over these papers.
The new structure of market infrastructure will create opportunities to access international capital markets and enhance financial market integration of the Central Bank of the country into the world's capital markets.
Azerbaijan has registered issue of investment securities of more than 2,000 companies, mainly public companies established as a result of the privatization of state enterprises. NDC serves 99 of these issuers. Approximately 200 issuers shy away from depositing their securities.
NDC does not publish a list of companies it serves and the list of JSC, with a population of more than 100 shareholders. The depositary also does not provide electronic services to 100 thousand persons who have deposit accounts in the NDC or to the serviced issuers. - 08D-
