At the meeting on 15 May Azerbaijani parliament adopted the Draft Law "On Advertising" in the third reading.
The author of the bill, MP Vahid Ahmadov noted that the new version of the law, existing since 1997, provides for stricter requirements and social responsibility for the advertisement of alcoholic beverages.
According to the law, companies that distribute advertisements should give at least 8% of their time, advertising space, banners, etc. to social advertising. Previously, the minimum requirement was 5%.
Also, the law specifies the time frame for the distribution of social advertisements - from 09:00 to 00:00.
Advertising of gambling sports on television can appear from 23:00 to 07:00.
According to V. Ahmedov, the law gives the concept of hidden advertising and sponsorship advertising. -02D-
