No Oil Spills on Tenth Platform, Ministry of Environment
There is no leakage of oil into the sea as a result of the fire on the stationary platform №10 in the field Guneshli. This is the conclusion of the expedition team of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.
The ministry noted that at the time of the fire in working condition were 28 of the 30 wells. Since oil wells (21) work on the gas-lifting method and gas in them has been suspended, there is no probability that the oil will spill to the aquatic environment. Of the remaining 7 holes 4 are gas and the gas coming into the atmosphere from them is completely burned. There is no harmful effect of carbon emissions to the atmosphere from these wells. There is also no probability of contact of the condensate with sea water, as it also burns in the atmosphere and contaminates it.
Visual observations around the platform have not registered an oil spill in the open sea. Nevertheless, the Ministry of Environment reported that the obtained water samples are tested in its laboratory. -----08D
