Not oil and gas exports increased by 3.9%
Baku/20.02.14/Turan : In January, exports of non-oil and gas sector totaled $ 120.9 million. According to the SCC, non-oil exports increased mainly due to industrial goods.
In the first month of 2014 the share of non-oil exports in the portfolio was 6.5 %. This is a 0.4 % strength point less than in January 2013. However, if the oil and gas sector in export value decreased by $ 56.4 million , the non-oil sector growth was $ 4.5 million.
According to the State Customs Committee , in January, the export of sugar ( $ 13,575 million) increased by 30.1% , boilers, machinery and mechanical structures ( $ 2.9 million ) - 3 times , vehicles ( $ 3.2 million ) - 15 times , finished textile products ( $ 1.4 million ) - 15.8 %, etc.
At the same time, the figures show that in many headings Azerbaijani producers reduced export performance . For example, tea exports declined by 23.2% , vegetable oil - 41.9% , beverages - 16.7% , plastics - 10.2% , aluminum - 17.9% , ferrous metals - 41.9% and etc. - 08D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
