
Known journalist fired for article on customs
A renowned journalist, columnist of the Bizim Yol, Natig Javadli, was fired for publishing an article critical of the State Customs Committee.
In an interview with Turan, Javadli confirmed that not only he, but also the editor Tural Agatly was fired. This decision was made by the chief editor Bahaddin Haziyev, and voiced by his deputy named Elchin.
Concerning the reasons for the dismissal, Javadli said that he was told by the also dismissed colleague, Tural Agatly, it was the consequence of the interview with the well-known economist Gubad Ibadogu. This interview reported about serious violations and negative phenomena in the system of the State Customs Committee.
