Official Inflation Rate 0.9% in March
In March of this year, inflation was 0.9%, reported the State Committee on Statistics on April 4.
Food prices in March compared with February rose by 1.8%, non-food products – by 0.5%, and paid services – by 0.1%.
More expensive were wheat flour, rice, buckwheat, pasta, beef and mutton, butter, vegetable oil, alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, many fruits and vegetables.
Last month, the State Statistics Committee recorded an increase in prices for many consumer goods: textiles, clothing and footwear, construction materials, furniture and home accessories, household appliances, appliances, cars and spare parts, jewelry.
Alternative calculation of inflation has not been conducted for the third year. Calculations by the news agency Turan show that immediately after the devaluation of the national currency on 21 February this year, prices and tariffs for many goods and services have become much more expensive. However, the government deliberately underestimates the real rate of inflation for political reasons. -----08D
