In January 2017 premiums for compulsory insurance of motor third party liability (MTPL) compared to the same period last year decreased by 1.3% and amounted to 4.6 million manat, according to the Bureau of Compulsory Insurance.
According to Turan, the number of contracts increased by 3.8% and recorded 59,087 electronic insurance contracts.
Note that since November 1 MTPL contracts are only in electronic form.
Thirteen insurance companies - Ateshgah, Standard Insurance, Ata Sigorta, Khalg Sigorta, Pasha Sigorta, AXA MBASK, AzSigorta, State Insurance Commercial Company, Mega Sigorta, Ipek Yolu, Azerbaijan Senaye Sigorta, Qala Sigorta, and Gunay Sigorta conclude MTPL contracts. ---71D

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
