Premiums under Contracts for Compulsory Real Estate Insurance Fell by 32.1%
In the first quarter of 2017, insurance companies concluded 19,452 contracts for compulsory insurance of real estate, the Bureau for Compulsory Insurance said.
In comparison with the same period last year, the number of contracts increased by 21.8%.
The premiums on the above-mentioned insurance contracts in January amounted to 5,684,385 manat, which is 32.1% less than in the same period of 2016.
12,941 contracts were concluded for houses and apartments, 124 for administrative buildings, and 6,387 for other real estate.
At present, thirteen insurance companies, i.e. Ateshgah, Standard Insurance, Ata Sigorta, Khalg Sigorta, Pasha Insurance, AXA MBASK, AzSigorta, State Insurance Commercial Company, Mega Sigorta, Ipek Yolu, Azerbaijan Senaye Sigorta, Qala Sigorta, and Gunay Sigorta conclude contracts on compulsory insurance of real estate. -----71D

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
