Prepared for the implementation of investment projects in Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park
Experts of the Sumgait chemical- industrial park (SCIP) prepared samples of investment projects to potential investors.
The Ministry of Economy and Industry (MEI) told Turan, that the preparation of these projects took into account trends in the world market for certain types of industrial activities. Projects related to the production of building materials, paint products, glass and cardboard products, etc.
Currently in the park is partially functioning Pipe Plant Ltd. Azertekhnoline. The construction of the plant for polymer products LLC SOCAR Polymer continues. MEI previously reported that interest in Schip exhibit about 20 local and foreign companies. According came into effect on 1st January 2013 law , residents of the industrial park are exempt from virtually all corporate taxes , including VAT for imports of equipment for a period of 7 years.
LLC Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park was established by the decree of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on 21 December 2011. The park covers 166.67 hectares, of which 114 hectares are under the industrial zone .
Established in February 2012, LLC Hidromakina passed in August 2013 and became known as LLC Azertekhnoline (share capital - 1,000 manat). Pipe Plant under the company allocated 32 hectares of land. Here , based on technology from Turkey, Germany , Italy and China plan to organize the production of 75 thousand tons of steel pipes, 12,000 tonnes of plastic pipes of special purpose and 60,000 tons of hydraulic pressure equipment . The last two productions are scheduled to begin this year.
Ltd. SOCAR Polymer was established in July 2013 (CC - 51 million manat). Under the construction they allotted 50 hectares. These enterprises are planned to produce propylene with a Canadian technology - 150 thousand tons and 100,000 tons of Austrian-technology low density polyethylene (per year). At today’s session of the Milli Majlis, Azerbaijan’s parliamentarians discussed and approved in the first reading a draft law increasing the minimum subsistence level for 2025. The updated figures reflect a modest rise of 10 manats, setting the nationwide living wage at 285 manats. For specific demographics, the levels are 305 manats for the working population, 232 manats for pensioners, and 246 manats for children. The same session also approved the criterion of need at 285 manats for the coming year, aligning it with the national living wage.
