Presentation of Khankendi Ship
Baku / 06.09.17 / Turan: The presentation of the Khankendi ship designed for underwater construction took place with the participation of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
The vessel was built at the Baku Shipyard by order of BP in the framework of the Shah Deniz-2 project. According to BP-Azerbaijan, the cost of construction of the vessel amounted to 378 million dollars. The vessel Khankendi will be used in the underwater construction and assembly work at the Shah Deniz field within the next 11 years.
The ship has all the necessary infrastructure for deep-water operations and is designed for the work of 175 people. The length of the vessel is 155 meters, the width is 32 meters, and the weight is 17,600 tons. -06D--

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
