Presidential race joined by central bodies of executive power
Today at Baku Expo Center opened an exhibition "Azerbaijan for 10 years. Execution of government programs of social and economic development." Organization of such an exhibition during the campaign of presidential elections scheduled for October 9 can be regarded as a form of active support by the central executive of the current president Ilham Aliyev.
The report circulated by the Ministry of Economic Development noted that the exhibition is held in three pavilions. It will demonstrate the country's achievements in the fields of industry, energy, agriculture, entrepreneurship, ICT, transport, tourism, health, education, culture, etc. Under the open sky, visitors can get acquainted with Azerbaijan produced in machinery, equipment and other goods.
The exhibition will run until October 15. It is funded by the state budget. On the first day of the exhibition achievements in the fields of entrepreneurship, socio-economic development of the regions will be told by representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development. In the following days, the stands will be presented by other ministries and agencies at a time.
In the presidential elections of 15 October Ilham Aliyev won, bit his legitimacy is not recognized by opposition parties. In February 2004, the first state program of socio-economic development of the regions was adopted, according to which the head of state promised to open 600 thousand new jobs.
In early 2014, there was a deadline for the implementation of the second such program, but today the head of state said about 1 million 180 thousand new jobs. Independent economists have pointed out that these figures are inflated and politicized at least twice. - 08D-
