Russia to deliver connecting parts for the South Gas Corridor to SOCAR
Till the end of quarter 2, 2015 Russian closed-type joint stock company (JSC) Connecting Bends of Pipelines, which is a part of group of Rimera companies, will deliver 500 tons of connecting parts for the South Gas Corridor project to SOCAR, reads the information released by the company today.
According to the information, the company will also ship about 150 big diameter bends for the South Gas Corridor. The bends will be with diameter 1020 and 1220 mm.
A group of Rimera companies has won the tender at the end of last year. The production capacities of the company guarantee observation of minimum tolerance for the geometry of bends with relatively thick walls – up to 20 mm,” reported the company.
Konstantin Samsonov, Commercial Director of Rimera group, said that Azerbaijan is among top three foreign consumers of products of the company.
“For about ten years we have been successfully delivering connecting parts to SOCAR. Azerbaijani partners are interested in almost all types of connecting parts and first of all hotbent bends with big diameters – between 720 and 1220 mm. This year the volume of shipment to Azerbaijan is expected to double against 2014 thanks to the South Gas Corridor project,” Samsonov said.
South Gas Corridor is among the priority projects for the EU, which envisages export of gas from the Caspian region to the European countries via Georgia and Turkey.—0—
