Securities laws of Azerbaijan tuned in the European manner
Today Baku hosted a presentation of the "Unification of Azerbaijani legislation on securities market legislation of the European Union and the institutional development of the State Committee on Securities." The project is financed by the EU and will be implemented the Financial Supervision Agency of Poland.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the State Committee for Securities Rufat Aslanli noted that this project will contribute to the successful implementation of the State program "securities market development in 2011-2020." He expressed confidence that with the support of the draft regulatory framework of the securities market will be improved through the use of advanced innovations.
Temporary Attorney EU Delegation to Azerbaijan Toralf Pils said assistance of the European Union will help to improve the legislation reform in the formation of civilized securities market in the country.
The representative of the Polish Financial Supervision Agency Damian Jaworski expressed confidence that the project will promote the development of wound capital of Azerbaijan.
Presentation on the planned work to improve the legislation of Azerbaijan Securities was acted by the project manager Ilona Pechinska Cherny.
The aim is to standardize the institutional, legal and regulatory framework of local legislation with EU standards, and support awareness of market participants. EU project has allocated 1 million euros.
In addition to legislation and support SCS, the project will be conducted training for market participants to comply with the new requirements of the law on the securities market. ---08C-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
