Since 2020 Georgia hopes to get 1 bcm of gas for Azerbaijani gas transit
Since 2020 Georgia, which is among the partners of the Southern Gas Corridor (SGC) project, hopes to receive about 1 bcm of natural gas a year for Azerbaijani gas transit, said Georgian Premier Georgii Kvirikashvili.
Press office of Georgian Premier reported that on Tuesday Kvirikashvili attended the ceremony devoted to construction of the Greek section of the Trans Adriatic pipeline (TAP), via which Azerbaijan gas will be exported to Europe, in Salonica city.
According to the Azerbaijani Georgian intergovernmental agreement on Azerbaijani gas transportation, Georgia receives 5% of volume of gas as a transit fee for transportation of every 1000 cub.m. of gas via its territory.—0—
