The amnesty initiative, the public health conditions, Azerbaijan's participation in the coalition against terrorism, and food security are today's leading themes of the press.

The official newspaper Azerbaijan writes about the amnesty initiative of the President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva. This is her third initiative. The first was in 2007 and the second - in 2009. The article refers to the Fund's charitable activities.

Azadlig subjects to severe criticism the new Ministry of Health rules, according to which since April of this year patients from provinces could only get treatment in Baku, according to the appropriate directions. This is explained by the presence of diagnostic centers with modern equipment in the provinces. However, the newspaper says the decision is a violation of the rights of citizens. The newspaper criticizes the state of diagnosis and treatment in the country, saying that is why the citizens go to Iran and Georgia for treatment.

Novoye Vremya wonders if Azerbaijan should participate in the anti-terrorism coalition of Muslim countries, created on the initiative of Saudi Arabia.

In Izmir from May 15 military exercises started, in which Azerbaijan participates. They will last until June 1. This is stated in an article entitled Baku and Riyadh Embarking on Joint Exercises. They involve Azerbaijan, Turkey, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United States. The purpose of the exercise is the development of joint action and coordination in the fight against terrorism and ISIS.
