SOCAR started shipment of last batch of oil via northern route
In January and February 2014 State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) will pump 170,000 tons of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline, a source from SOCAR said.
“After that export of Azerbaijani oil via the pipeline will be suspended,” a source from SOCAR said.
During 2013 SOCAR exported 1,751,000 tons of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline, down 313,000 tons against 2012.
Russian Transneft company said that the company has been working to temporary close down the Baku-Novorossiysk oil pipeline (Makhachkala-Baku) , because Azerbaijan did not initiate signing of a commercial agreement on the oil transit.—0—
