SOFAZ Sells $ 80 Million to 21 Banks at Auction
Today the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) through an auction organized by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan sold $ 80 million.
According to SOFAZ, last Thursday and Friday they sold $ 50 million - each time it puts on sale $ 100 million. On Thursday, the auction was attended by 21 banks, while on Friday there was one player less.
The sale of foreign currency by the Fund is carried out in the framework of state budget transfers amounting to $ 7 billion 615 million AZN this year.
By January 1, SOFAZ assets amounted to $ 33.57 billion (minus 9.5% to early 2015). --17D
