Baku Pays Respects to Four Officers Killed in Karabakh
On Monday morning at the Training center of the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan a farewell ceremony was held with four Azerbaijani officers killed during the recent fighting in Karabakh.
This was the crew of a MI-24 helicopter, Majors Tabriz Mehdizadeh and Urfan Velizadeh, Senior Lieutenant Bekir Ismailov and Lieutenant-Colonel of Special Troops Murad Mirzoyev.
Speaking at the farewell, the Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov expressed his condolences to relatives of the victims and promised that the army would avenge those killed.
"Our martyrs will be avenged and our lands will be liberated,” the minister said.
The farewell ceremony was extended to the second Alley of Honor, where the dead were buried with military honors. -02D-

The Interior Ministry reports that employees of the Department for Combating Illegal Migration identified and detained 34 foreigners without documents giving the right to reside and stay on the territory of Azerbaijan.

During the operation of the Main Drug Control Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 5 members of an organized group engaged in drug trafficking were detained. All of them have previous convictions: Bahlul Ismayilov, Royal Aliyev, Khayal Aliyev, Samir Aghayev, and Ali Mammadli.
