Spare Parts for Vehicles Included in List of Goods Requiring Security
By the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers on 27 November all the spare parts of vehicles are included in the list of goods that require security. The government's decision was made public in the official press on December 10.
The State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents (SCSMP) told Turan that parts of vehicles imported and manufactured in the country are subject to compulsory certification and only after that they can be put into circulation. At present, their list is being prepared.
The State Service for Accreditation under SCSMP accredited three independent entities that have the technical capabilities of conformity assessment and issue the relevant certificates. They are LLC AzeSert, Azsertcenter and TekhnoSert. It is noteworthy that these companies have been established this year with a registered capital of 5-10 manats.
The list of goods that require security was adopted in July 1993 and is valid from 1st January 1994. It includes mainly foodstuffs, as well as those non-food products, which may directly or indirectly affect human health. It is noteworthy that this document is not accessible to the public. -----08B
