Stamp in honor of the Contract of the Century
The company Azermarka of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan issued a postage stamp to mark the 20th anniversary of the signing of the "Contract of the Century."
As stated on the website of Ministry of Communications, the product of philately printed in Belarus edition of 5 000 par value of one brand of 1 manat.
The said event (the international agreement on the development of Azeri, Chirag and Deepwater Guneshli) was held on September 20, 1994. The project participants are: BP- 35,78%, SOCAR- 11,65%, Chevron- 11,27% and ExxonMobil- 8,0006% (both - the United States), Japanese Inpex- 10,96% and Itochu- 4,3 %, the Norwegian Statoil (8,56%), Turkish TPAO (6,75%) and the Indian ONGCVideshLimited- 2,72%. --17D-

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance. This figure, which includes reserves held by the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), far exceeds the nation's external debt, which stands at a fraction of its reserves, specifically nearly 14 times less.
