Regional Division No 6 of the Ministry of Taxes was underpaid AZN 2.3 million ($2.93 million) for income taxes and VAT last year.
Shortfall in the budget was revealed by the audit of the Accounts Chamber in tax structures. According to the annual report of the organization, it is due to unaccounted fines on the basis of judgments against seven at fault taxpayers - legal entities.
Despite the substantial amount of tax evasion, the judges did not launch a criminal case. -17D-
