Technical Committee Created for Road Transport Standardization
On the basis of the Azerbaijani Institute for Standardization and Certification the Technical Committee on Road Transport Standardization (TC 19) has been established.
Activities of TC 19 are standardized with parameters of the Technical Committee for Standardization of Road Transport ISO / TK 22, which is an international standards body, the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents told Turan.
The chairmanship of TC 19 has been assigned to the Sumgait Technologies Park. The TC also includes representatives of the Ministries of Transport, Economy and Health Care, the State Customs Committee, the State Traffic Police, Azerbaijan Technical University, JSC Azeravtoyol, and the Ganja and Nakhchivan automobile plants.
This technical committee in addition to the development of national standards will also take part in the vote on the adoption of international and regional standards for road transport on behalf of Azerbaijan. ----08D
