Russian Helicopters to Help with Maintenance of Air Vehicles in Azerbaijan
In Azerbaijan, the service center for maintenance and overhaul will be created, including rescue, civil and military helicopters.
An agreement to this within the framework of the Second International Defense Exhibition ADEX 2016 was signed by Director General of Silk Way Helicopter Services Azer Sultanov and Deputy Director of JSC Helicopters of Russia Igor Chechikov.
The Azerbaijan helicopters park is stationed in the Zabrat airport. The types Airbus Helicopters AS-332L1, Airbus Helicopters EC-155B1, Mi-8 MTV-1 and Mi-8AMT, Sikorsky S-92A, Leonardo Helicopters AW139, and the Cessna 172S aircraft annually transport over 50 million passengers.
JSC Russian Helicopters is part of the state corporation Russian Rostec. Being a natural monopoly, it designs, develops, manufactures and tests helicopters in the country. --17D-

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance.
