Military sailors from Azerbaijan and Iran discussed issues of cooperation.
As part of the multinational naval exercises "AMAN-25" held in the Pakistani city of Karachi, a meeting took place between the First Deputy Commander of the Azerbaijani Navy, Teymur Murshudov, and the Commander of the Iranian Navy, Shahram Irani.
The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijani and Iranian naval forces in the Caspian Sea, with a particular emphasis on the importance of conducting joint exercises.
The sides conducted a thorough exchange of views on a number of other issues of mutual interest, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense reported.
