'Freedom Now' urged Azerbaijani authorities to immediately release journalists
The international human rights organisation 'Freedom Now' has called on the Azerbaijani authorities to immediately release all arrested journalists.
‘This week the Azerbaijani authorities arrested Shahnaz Byalyargyzy, a journalist of 'Toplum YV', and Shamshad Agu, editor of 'Arqument.az' website.
More than 20 journalists have already been arrested in the country on falsified charges. We call on Aliyev to immediately release them all,’ the organisation's social network X account said.
