After two days of relative stability, the dollar again rose against the manat. According to the official rate of the Central Bank on August 19, the dollar will cost AZN 1.6204. The last two days, on 17 and 18 August US dollar exchange rate to manat was 1.6164. In July 2016 the dollar was worth an average of 1.56 manats, then in August there is a daily growth of the dollar. Record high exchange rate of the dollar after the second devaluation of the manat was on March 11, 2016 - 1USD/1,6456AZN. The lowest dollar rate was on May 25-26, 2016, when the manat rate was 1USD/1,49AZN level. -75D-

"Aztelekom" and "Baku Telephone Communications" have announced that there will be changes in internet prices starting from August 15. The statement mentions that under the new tariffs, the minimum speed for subscribers will start at 100 Mbit/s. The payment per Mbit/s will be reduced from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. For instance, 100 Mbit/s internet will be offered for 25 AZN, 150 Mbit/s for 30 AZN, and 250 Mbit/s for 36 AZN.
