Today, around 12 a.m., the activist of NIDA Turgut Gambar was detained near the Baku Court of Appeal by a group of people in civilian clothes who identified themselves as employees of Baku Main Police Office. They said that Turgut should go with them, because "there are a number of questions to him." The Board member of NIDA Ulvi Hasanli told Turan.
According to him, Gambar was in front of the Court of Appeal in connection with the trial of the NIDA activist Elgiz Gahramanov arrested on August 12 on charges of drug trafficking.
Later, these same persons detained the photographer Ismi Shahzadeh and withdrew the mobile phone from the journalist Islam Shikhali, when he was preparing a report. The police drove activists who gathered in front of the court away.
Turan’s efforts to get comments from the Metropolitan Police failed. Note that Turgut Gambar is the son of the former head of the party Musavat Isa Gambar. -16 / 03B-
