The domestic private sector produces more than 10% of industrial production in Azerbaijan
According to State Statistics Committee, the share of private sector domestic capital does not exceed 10% in industrial production of the country.
This is due to the superior position of the mining industry, dominated by foreign capital and the public sector.
For five months this year, the mining industry produced products worth 11.6 million manat, which accounted for 77.5% of the industrial product of the country.
Oil refineries produced goods worth 790.8 million manat, while the other indexes were as follows: chemical industry - 91.4 million manat, the system of production and distribution of electricity and gas - 729.7 million manat, and the distribution of water - 76.6 million manat. All of these are state-controlled industries.
Thus, the domestic private sector made in the first five months of this year industrial production totaling approximately 1.6 billion manat, the bulk of which is accounted for by the food industry (1 billion manat). -08B-
