The foreign trade turnover increased by 3.4%
In January-July 2013 foreign trade turnover amounted to over $ 20 billion, which is 3.4% more than the year before. Positive turnover was achieved due to the growth of imports for the period by 16.6%
According to the State Customs Committee, the seven months of the year, Azerbaijan exported goods worth a total of $ 13 863.9 million lion's share of exports (more than $ 12.8 billion or 92.4%) - is the energy (crude oil, petroleum products and natural gas). The share of EU exports account for 47.5% ($ 6 595.3 million). The share of public sector in the portfolio of exports is 94.1% ($ 13 billion).
During the mentioned period, the country imported goods worth $ 6 181.7 million is 16% more than in the comparable period of 2012. Imports of goods from EU countries amounted to $ 2,074 million or 33.5% of imports. The share of public sector accounted for 30.4% ($ 1,880 million) of imports.
The foreign trade balance amounted to $ 7,683 million.
This year, Azerbaijan had trade relations with the 141st country in the world. Exported were 1,677 items of goods and imported were 5,587. Import-export business employs 5,237 business entities, of which 3,219 are legal entities, including 241 companies belonging to the public sector. 08D

According to official statistics from Azerbaijan, bilateral trade in 2023 reached 3.1 billion US dollars.
