The Head of SOCAR: We Want to Save "Bulla Deniz"
The situation at the gas field “Bulla Deniz”, which has been on fire since August 17, is "normal", said Rovnag Abdullayev, head of state-owned SOCAR.
"Cleaning works have been completed, and now the situation is normal," he said in an interview with reporters on Wednesday. Representatives of the American Hellenic Petroleum are also involved in the fire extinguishing.
"We want to save the well, and for this, special equipment was imported form the USA. Preparation is ongoing to the close the well. This will be done by continuing the well or after extinguishing the fire," he said.
