The situation with the performance of occupational health to be checked
Progress in the aftermath of the fire in the shopping center Karvan in Sumgait showed that the performance of safety standards in some private institutions remains low .
The fire destroyed about 70 % of the shopping center. Elimination of the consequences has mainly engaged employees of the facility. However, they are not provided by the employer ( Production and Commercial Company Karvan) remedies, uniform, helmets, safety shoes, masks for protection against dust, etc.
The labor inspector of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation Murvat Mehrabov told Turan they are informed of this negative fact and intend to organize the participation of officials from the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection in the monitoring in the shopping center Karvan.
It is noteworthy that part of the shopping center for the sale of agricultural commodities continues to operate despite the risk of collapse of the ceiling.
It should be noted that the Code of Administrative Offences provides for high penalties against officials and legal entities that do not comply with the requirements of the Labor Code on labor protection. -08B-
