This year BP to complete with successful production indexes
BP company considers its operations in Azerbaijan this year as successful, Gordon Birrell, BP-Azerbaijan President, said while speaking to the journalists at the end of last week.
He said a great success has been achieved in field of labor safety, safety of operations, environment protection and reduction of volume of gas burnt on the torches and management of strata waters.
“We are also satisfied with the results in the production field. The closer we are to the end of the year, the more we are confident that this year the indexes will be above those planned,” Birrell said, but did not mention exact volume.
Reliable sources told Turan that according to the BP-Azerbaijan’s forecast, at the end of 2014 average daily oil production on the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) had to total 620,000 barrels, but the company expects the figure will be close to about 630,000 barrels.
BP is the operator of the following projects in Azerbaijan: oil production – Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli, gas production – Shah –Deniz, exploration project – Shafag and Asiman offshore fields and the infrastructure projects – Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) and Baku-Supsa oil pipelines and the Southern Caucasian gas pipeline.—0—
