Today, Baku is hosting the 12th International Tourism Exhibition AITF 2013
Today at Baku Expo Center opened on 12th Azerbaijan International Exhibition "Tourism and Travel" AITF 2013. This year will participate in AITF companies and organizations from 35 countries, who will demonstrate various areas of tourism.
This year, the exhibition brought together more than 200 participants, including 40% regular exhibitors. 19 countries will present their national stands. The regular participants of the exhibition (Turkey, Georgia, Czech Republic, United Arab Emirates, Russia, Malaysia and other countries) in Baku for the first time were representatives of Morocco, Hungary, Slovenia, Thailand, Tunisia and France.
Turkey and Georgia have increased the size of their exhibition stands nearly 2-fold. After a pause, visitors will again this year be able to see offers from tour operators in Egypt.
The exhibition was attended by leading local travel companies, including Silk Way Travel, Millennium Tour, Gilan Tourism, N-Travel, Smart Holiday, etc.
As part of the national groups and their stands are many airlines and aviation agencies. In particular, the individual stands will perform Azerbaijan Airlines, Turkish Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Air Astana, Adria Airways (Slovenia), etc.
The exhibition will also be a platform to review the tourism potential of Azerbaijan. The exhibition will end on April 6. - 08D-

Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR signed a memorandum of cooperation with North Macedonian company ECM on Thursday, during a visit to Baku by North Macedonia's President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, an informed source told Turan.

Discussions were held in Baku within the framework of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, focusing on the "Decarbonization and Climate Adaptation of the Cotton-to-Clothing Value Chain." Among other topics, the state of cotton farming in Azerbaijan was also addressed.

Azerbaijan has attracted significant interest from companies in both developing and developed countries, as well as from state and private sector representatives of at least 10 nations, regarding participation as shareholders in the Climate Finance Action Fund (CFAF), which has a total budget of $1 billion. The CFAF is one of Azerbaijan’s 14 key initiatives unveiled at COP29, Yalchin Rafiev, Azerbaijan's chief negotiator at COP29 and Deputy Foreign Minister, said at a press conference on Tuesday.

The Azerbaijani government has proposed that the OPEC Fund participate in financing several renewable energy projects, including offshore wind energy development, green energy corridor initiatives, and a 1 GW project planned by SOCAR in partnership with the UAE-based company Masdar.
