Traditional Exhibition of Bee Products to Be Launched in Baku Sea Port
The traditional fair of bee products will open this year on September 5 in Baku Sea Port and unlike previous years, will last for one month.
The Ministry of Agriculture told Turan the fair will exhibit products of 300 beekeepers all over the country. They are going to sell about 500 tons of honey and other bee products. The Ministry of Agriculture has recommended farmers to sell honey at a price no higher than 15 manats per 1 kg.
As in previous years, the exhibition will be a lively exchange of ideas and achievements in the field of protection of bees and improve their breeding performance. According to specialists MA, in Azerbaijan there are about 240,000 bee colonies. Honey production reaches 2500 tons per year.
