Transit cargo transportation on the " Silk Road" fell by 5.6%
Baku/05.02.14/Turan : The volume of transit freight transport corridor TRACECA on the territory of Azerbaijan for 11 months of this year amounted to 13.7 million tons. This is 5.6% less than in the comparable period in 2012 .
Reducing traffic volumes associated not with declining interest in this corridor , and maritime navigation factor that interferes with the safe berthing ferries, told Turan CJSC Azerbaijan Railways .
Transit cargo transportation brings great benefits to transportation companies. According to the SSC, for 11 months of 2013 the railroad and the Caspian Shipping Company from transit earned 134,992.8 thousand manats. However, revenues fell at an annualized rate of 5.5%.

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
