Turkey reduced gas import and consumption
From January to November 2013 Turkish state-run pipeline company BOTAS imported from various sources 34.29 billion cub.m. of gas against about 38.8 billion cub.m. during the same period in 2012, reported BOTAS.
Turkey also imports gas from Azerbaijan via the Southern Caucasian pipeline Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum.
From January to November 2013 635,000,000 cub.m. of gas against 555 million cub.m. during the same period in 2012 fell to BOTAS export operations.
The company reported that from January to November 2013 about 33.56 billion cub.m. of gas was sold at the Turkish local market against about 36.73 billion cub.m. during the same period in 2012.—0—
